Riccardo Pigliucci joined Oxford Nanopore as a
non-executive director in November 2006 bringing with him extensive
commercial experience of the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical markets.
From May 1999 to November 2005, Riccardo served as Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of Discovery Partners International, a NASDAQ listed
drug discovery services company. From February 1996 to April 1998, he
was Chief Executive Officer of Life Sciences International PLC, a UK
listed global supplier of scientific equipment and consumables. Prior
to that, he was a long term employee serving in a number of capacities
at The Perkin-Elmer Corporation, now Applera Corporation, a global life
science and analytical instrument company, including President and
Chief Operating Officer from 1993 to 1995.
Riccardo Pigliucci is also a director of the Dionex Corporation
(NASDAQ: DNEX) and Biosphere Medical (NASDQ: BSMD) and several
privately held companies.
