Trevor is a Company Director with 25 years experience of building
international businesses in the life science industry, with a focus on
genomics, in major pharma, biotech and academic clients. He also has
broad experience of initiating change and restructuring organisations,
ranging from start-ups to FTSE 100/Nasdaq quoted companies. Currently,
he is Chief Executive Officer of CABI, a not-for-profit
inter-governmental organisation owned by 46 member countries worldwide.
Prior to his current role, he was Chief Commercial Officer for
Affymetrix Inc with accountability for Global Operations, covering
Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Manufacturing, delivering
$330 million revenue with 600 staff across 8 locations worldwide. Prior
to this, he was founder CEO of Oxagen Ltd where he raised a total of
£50 million over 3 venture-backed financing rounds and secured
commercial partnerships in addition to academic collaborations. Prior
to Oxagen, he was Commercial Director of the Life Science Business of
Amersham International (now part of GE Healthcare), leading 340
commercial staff with a turnover of £150 million worldwide. He was also
part of corporate teams implementing acquisitions and strategic
partnerships. He has also worked as a consultant with McKinsey and
Company Inc. and in Marketing with Unilever.
